Fig. 1 shows the cross section of the AIR-TURNBAR, and Fig. 2 shows the cross section in the width direction, respectively. The tension detection and transmission part of the air pressure sensor is installed at the top of the center in the width direction of the AIR-TURNBAR.
Air is normally supplied into the AIR-TURNBAR by the blower to maintain the pressure range from micro pressure to low pressure of 0.5 kPa to 50 kPa. The air pressure value to be supplied will be selected in accordance with the weight and tension of the film to be floated. It will be proportioned to the tension and selected gradually. The temperature of the compressed supply air may be set to a high temperature in case of dehydration or hardening. |
| As shown in Fig. 2, if the AIR-TURNBAR to which the compressed air supplied is rolled up with the film and then apply a certain tension, the pressure variation in the tension detection and transmission part shall be as follows, and it is allowed to conduct the closed loop control (negative return control) of the pressure transmission systems for electric power and air. |

| There are several kinds of AIR-TURNBAR. For the purpose of explaining the theory, one with a half elliptical shape is generally used for explanation purposes in accordance with the device composition. |
| 1. |
When the blower is activated, outer air will be filtrated with the air filter and pressurized in the blower through the silencer etc. and then supplied to the AIR-TURNBAR after |
| 2. |
Analog manometer will measure the pressure in the AIR-TURNBAR and report the result of the analog display adjustment gauge. The adjustment gauge will compare the signal with the value set previously, and transmit the excess/short signals to the blower motor inverter to control the rotational frequency of the blower motor, so that the pressure in the AIR-TURNBAR is constant. |
| 3. |
The pressurized air in the AIR-TURNBAR will go through the hole for exhausting the pressurized air of the AIR-TURNBAR and transmitted to the gap of the wires rolled on the AIR-TURNBAR to float the film. |
| 4. |
Some floating gaps will be generated between the AIR-TURNBAR and the film, and the air pressure of the gap will be proportioned to the tension, and then the value will be transmitted to the analog manometer. The transmission method may be the following two cases; the air pressure will be transmitted directly with tubes or pipes, or the value is converted into electric signals in the pressure sensor directly installed in the AIR-TURNBAR for transmission. |
| 5. |
The signals of the analog manometer will be input to the computing display adjustment gauge, and these numerical values will be processed to display the tension value. |
